A Look into My Life

My cousin and I went to the Summer Concert Series hosted by Good Morning America one rainy summer day to see Bastille.

My boyfriend and I went on a cruise excursion in Porta Plaza, Dominican Republic, to honor his late mom. We played with spider monkeys and learned about the local culture through a tour and food demonstrations.

I went on a cruise with my cousin Jaimie and her family to Bermuda and got to experience one of their street fairs. In this picture I am standing in an old police booth that was open for tourists to take pictures in.

A picture of a beautiful sunset over a lake I took while on a trip to Vermont.

While on the cruise with my cousin Jaimie and her family to Bermuda we got to go to the pink sand beach they have there. It doesn't look that pink here because I am so much pinker from the sun burn.

A picture of my cousin Jaimie and I on a cruise with the whole family to the West Indies.

One of my best friends Allyson and I evacuated from the New Jersey wildfires and made it a mini vacation.

My boyfriend Rory and I went axe throwing which I was surprisingly good at. Get me on your team for the apocalypse!

My cousin Jaimie and I went to a the last Jonas Brothers concert (in Baltimore, MD) before the COVID-19 lockdown.

My other best friend Luke and I hanging out on campus at Ramapo College of New Jersey.

My boyfriend (on the right), his brother (on the left), and I (in the middle) went on a cruise to memorialize their late mom.

A picture of my three older cousins, my late grandmother and myself (far right) having dinner and dessert at a local steakhouse to celebrate my high school graduation in 2019.

This is a picture of me and one of my grandma’s at-home aides, Betty, whom we called Little Betty (4'9") since my grandma was also Bette (5'5"). She cared for my grandma and me for over 10 years.

My boyfriend and I went on a cruise with his family to memorialize his late mom.

My boyfriend and I visited Mitsuwa (a Japanese shopping plaza) that's right next to the Hudson River overlooking NYC.

(A1) This project is a kerchief and is also my first ever crochet piece! It was finished in 2 days.

(B1) This project is a bralette top and is my first wearable crochet piece!

(B2) A view of the back. I crocheted old swimsuit bra padding into the top so it's full coverage.

(B3) A corset back so if it shrinks in the wash it will still fit.

(B4) Ajustable straps that can be knotted to be looser or tighter. The straps can also be tied so that it is a regular back, criss cross back, or a woven criss cross back.

(B5) Here is a closer look at the straps showing it has 3 crocheted straps sewed to be one. This type of strap provides more support and versatility.

(B6) A closer look at the crochet pattern work at the bottom of the top.

(B7) A better look at the crochet pattern work on the body of the top.

(C1) This project is a frog bag and is my first crochet bag! It also features my first amigurumi which is the strawberry the frog is holding.

(C2) This is my hand for size. A phone and a few smaller items can fit. The limbs are stuffed and cannot be used to store things in.

(C3) A closer look at the amigurumi strawberry.

(C4) The frog's face lifts up to reveal the opening of the bag.

(C5) A look at the back side of the bag.

(D1) This project is an orange cat bag in the same style as the frog bag. This bag is based off an old friend's cat that passed away shortly after giving her this gift. I matched the cat's unique stripes and spots as well.

(D2) A closer view at how the bag latches shut. I picked a brown button to go with the spots on the stomach.

(D3) A closer look at the Velcro on the top paws and the toe beans. The cat's name was Pumpkin so I added Velcro on the top paws to hold a crochet pumpkin (not pictured here).

(D4) A closer look at the Velcro on the top paws and the toe beans.

(D5) A closer look at the toe beans on the bottom paws (no Velcro).

(D6) The cat's face lifts up to reveal the opening of the bag.

(D7) A cheeky little surprise under the cat's tail.

(D8) A look at the back side of the bag and the stripe crochet pattern work.

(E1) A Spiderman/Miles Morales 2 strap bag. This bag is lined (not pictured here) with hand stitched alternating colored stitching.

(E2) A look at the Miles Morales side with a 3D spider stitched on the strap with yarn.

(E3) A closer look at the spider on the strap and the white thread coming from it acting as spider silk.

(E4) A view of the side of the bag showing how the side stitches and the straps on either side are opposite colors to the dominant color on each side to give more contrast.
